I'm new to this whole discussion board thing overall, actually, so if I'm posting in the wrong place my apologies and let me know, but I had a question that someone suggested I ask the mods about. I'm not on the spectrum myself, but my younger sister's an Aspie. She'll be coming to college soon, and I've been trying to reassure her and my mom about college and resources for transitioning at the same time. Anyways, I figured out that while there's a lot of advice out there it takes an awful lot of hunting to find it and isn't centrally located. So I'm making my own website with info on transitioning to college (and possibly broader info, not sure yet). The trick, of course, is that I myself don't have autism, my sister's not in college yet, and I would also not presume to try and represent what you guys experience without your actual input. So I was wondering if it was possible to use information from the School and College Life forum and incorporate it, and if so, how would I go about it? I can ask individual posters for permission, give credit to pennames (or real names, or no names, depending on the poster's wishes), or anything else you all would suggest...I just want to make sure it's okay before I start. You guys have already discussed a lot of topics I'd like to cover, like balancing social lives and college, whether to even go to college, dorm life, etc, so it'd be really helpful to just incorporate some of these conversations into a website format.
Thanks so much!
