Resizing picture help please

I was able to resize one picture I had and use it as an avatar, but I have another one I want to use, and I cannot get it to resize. I'm going to ask a whiney question now. Is there anyone who would do it for me if I emailed it to you? If not, it's no big deal. It's just a picture of the river that's a mile away from here and it's pretty.

I used Microsoft picture thing to resize the other one, but it's not working with this, in case you were wondering what I was using.

Yep, no worries - PM it to me and I'll PM it back as an avatar if it's possible to crunch it down enough.

Also remember that it's not possible to change your avatar just yet, while WP is recovering.
