I posted a depression question in the teen part of the forum shortly after joining. The next day, I was looking through the forum and noticed that there was a better category to put my post in. Technically, it was related to teenagers and I was asking for advice from teenagers, but will I still get dinged for it?

No. The mods get requests like that all the time. If you're the originator of the thread, which I guess you are, they will almost always move it for you, as long as the move makes sense, which it usually does.

There are no "dings" associated with requests like that.

You can post the request here: http://www.wrongplanet.net/postt181777.html

Click "Reply."

For future reference, that's the "sticky" Moderator Attention Thread near the top of the thread list right in this forum.
