Due to personal issues totally unrelated to Wrong Planet, I am withdrawing as a moderator for an indefinite period of time.

Some of the moderators are already aware, and I have notified Alex, though at the time of this post, he has not read the message.

I do regret having to make such a sudden decision, but it is unfortunately necessary.

I am also asking the moderators to place a voluntary, indefinite ban on my account. Honestly, I am concerned that my personal life may affect my postings for a while, and would prefer not to risk altering the overall peaceful atmosphere on WP, even if that possibility is slight.

It has been a great pleasure posting here, and I wish I knew how long this will have to be for, but I simply don't. It could be a few weeks, a few months, or for good. It all depends on factors I feel are best kept private.

I've enjoyed my time here, and do hope to return as soon as possible.
