Simple, use the Google custom Search at the top of the page.

You can also type "site:wrongplanet.net" into a regular Google search bar, and you will get basically the same thing as the Custom bar when you put the keywords in, but with the approximate times of the threads to avoid necroing if you can.

I would also like to point out that it is handy to remember a couple words in the thread title and two user names on the same page so you can type those into the Google search in case the thread gets buried. I do that all the time.
