Yes, I've gone there. My goodness. I don't mind still text on a web page, but when stuff moves it's almost impossible for me to concentrate. I start to feel a bit overwhelmed by the stimulus.

This generally sucks because almost every webpage on the entire internet has something trying to grab attention. For me, it's just movement attacking me.

Anyone else feel this way? Do you go great lengths to avoid seeing moving stuff on webpages??

I'll hold a hand over one eye to block it out, or I'll open up Notepad and resize the window to make it smaller and then position it over the flashing ad. It works until I have to scroll down the Web page, and then the Notepad window goes behind the main window, but at least it helps.

I seem to remember a place on the Internet that you could get a host file replacement. Essentially breaking all the ad companies ads

FYI... A Host file resides in your windows/system32/drives/etc folder (if your using windows) and items in this file get their DNS resolved before the regular method, so, if you put something like ads.doubleclick.com with a bad ip, into it, any ads that load images or flash from that domain will show as broken links.

Or, perhaps it would just be easier to get an ad blocker. :D
