Earlier this week I tried to get on Wrong Planet and it wouldn't let me get on. I can't remember what it said exactly, but I'll give you a few keywords, it said something like ''A compromised virus, this account has been hacked''. It was a more specified than that but I can't remember what it actually said. But after about an hour it suddenly let me get back in and I haven't had trouble with it since. I've changed my password anyway, and I've scanned my computer for any viruses but none have come up so I'm not sure what that was all about.

I take it this didn't happen to anyone else, since it would of been reported on here.

As far as I'm aware there is no such message produced by this site when you login. My guess is that your computer was already infected with something or you got one of those pop up antivirus scam windows claiming your computer was infected when it wasn't.

The only other site trouble lately has been due to the CloudFare software not letting people use the site, claiming it was offline when it wasn't. Was this the sort of message you got? You really should take a screen image of such things so people know what you are talking about; otherwise it is just guesswork.

I've just been handed my neighbour's laptop to fix for him - he says it has a virus and that it was reported by a message similar to yours - but his message came directly from his ISP, as soon as he tried to connect to any site.
That was a Virgin Media account. Apparently they have something monitoring their customers' connections to check for activity from certain types of virus that may be on their PCss.
Although you may not be using Virgin Media, I wonder if your ISP does something similar?

Not just Virgin who does this. Most residential ISPs will display a page such as that when they receive abuse complaints about a user's IP address.

It done it again today but I was able to get logged in. But I got some information. This is what it said at the bottom of the page:-

What happened?
Your computer or another computer on your network is compromised with a virus. This allows online criminals to use it as part of a botnet to send spam and attack websites.
Why am I seeing this page?
This website is participating in a project to stop attacks and educate visitors with infected computers about how they can clean up their machines.
What should I do?
Make sure your anti-virus software is up to date and run a full scan.
When will this restriction go away?
This restriction will disappear when no more harmful behavior is detected. Completing the challenge above proves you are a human and gives you temporary access. You can ask the website owner to permanently whitelist you.

Follow the instructions. There is a captcha above that you can complete that will grant you access. This is part of the security software running on the site.

I did do that the second time and it was fine. But the first time it wouldn't let me type in anything, as though the page had turned into a read-only page, and there was nothing I could do, which was why I really thought something had happened to my account at first.
