Just got this email. If I want to read the articles I'll do it myself. I don't want to be spammed!

Quote:
From: Wrong Planet - Asperger and Autism Community

Why is it so hard for moms to take a break? What can fathers do to help?

First of all, struggling with taking a break from maternal responsibilities is normal. This is hard for the mothers of typical children—who presumably have a little less to be preoccupied about than mothers of children who have autism and other special needs.

So feeling overwhelmed by the enormous responsibilities of motherhood is normal, but when it goes on indefinitely, it’s not healthy for a mother or her family. And fathers tend to begin feeling left out and neglected. While I frequently write about fathers, I spend a good deal of my time as a psychologist listening to mothers. Almost invariably mothers seem to be relieved when they give voice to their struggles—particularly the guilt about not doing enough or missing something they should have done or thought about.

Got in my inbox earlier yesterday as well. It could be that Alex set the article to be emailed to all wrongplanet members, or maybe he did so by mistake when the new article went online.

I've been a member four years and it is the first spam email I've had from here. It looks very much deliberate. It came from noreply@wrongplanet.tv rather than noreply@wrongplanet.net so I've just flagged noreply@wrongplanet.tv as a spammer to prevent any more arriving in my inbox. It shouldn't affect topic or PM notifications.

If it were deliberate, it would be contradicting Plank's principle (as if he has any nowadays).

Anyway, wrongplanet.tv is associated with Plank. Here's the WHOIS lookup. Please be reminded that this is public information, and can easily be looked up on who.godaddy.com.

in the "registrant" field. In most cases, GoDaddy.com, LLC
is not the registrant of domain names listed in this database.

Yes, received here at my registered email at 14:53 5-13. So is this going to become more common, I wonder? I don't really care much, if I get too irritated I will just blacklist wrongplanet on my email filter.

Either way, unsolicited e-mail is spam. And just for everyone's information:

[img][800:400]http://i246.photobucket.com/albums/gg119/theimperiousdork/Confidential/untitled.jpg[/img]

From the looks of it, it seems that one of Plank's henchmen is one of those behind the spamming. Hmm. I smell something fishy here. Does this remind me of an adversary I have had here? Hah.

Hyperlexian, my answer to that premise of yours (and I'd assume it'd be the answer of the rest) is a big

NO.

So it's unsolicited e-mail.
Unsolicited e-mail counts as SPAM.
Plank sent me that e-mail without my explicit permission.
Therefore, he and his Web site counts as a spammer.

Any contests?

I disagree, Hyperlexian. I don't think that makes any sense. See, this site apparently gives users the option whether they would want to be e-mailed or not, but then its so-called "Terms of Service" completely contradicts said option.

Kind of reminds me of hypocrites who enforce laws yet disobey same laws themselves.
