I think we should let men into the women's discussion. It is not fair. If something offends them then they can get out.

I'm in favor of keeping men out of the women's forum, and women out of the men's forum. That way, I can ask questions like "Why is my (bleep) (bleep) (bleep) (bleep)?" without embarrassment.

I think everyone should be allowed in both "gender" forums provided they are respectful. The posts can be very personal so obviously some tact is required.

Only by talking openly can we understand each other.

Also, I seem to have quite a female mind and all of my best friends are girls. I feel more at home on the women's pages than I do in the men's, even though I am male and straight. It is nice to be involved in some of the women's discussions.

Considering the nature of the Internet, it is nearly impossible to make sure that no men go into the women's only forum and vice versa. It's more of an honour code system in that sense.

Then why have members only areas here?

I think there should be a women's and a men's only area. If you want contributions from all, post in a general area and everyone (not pointing the finger at just you) should stop whingeing about it.

Just let everyone see everything. If you don't like it, don't go. If you want this private girl talk, go to a goddamn slumber party. If you want boy talk, go to one of those depressing bars where no woman wants to go. But until then, stop acting like you can have private conversations only for one gender on the internet.

This is, of course, assuming that no one of your own gender is going to laugh at you and your (bleep), or at the very least, that they'd be less likely to do so. You don't know that.

Anyone can post in here as long as they don't say anything offensive.

When I went into the Womens discussion, they had some questions for the males, so that's why we should let them in.

I am not saying this to be ugly to anyone, but hale_bopp, and Bazza McKenzie you are getting off topic. It doesn't annoy me, but I don't want you guys to get banned.

Sure they can, but that still doesn't mean they are gay.

You mean Aspoid and me, not hale_bopp.

Sorry.

I think we need to respect a female space and likewise, if guys say something meant only for guys, the girls should not get upset. It was not meant for them. If you are going to visist a forum for the opposite sex, you have to accept you are a "visitor".
