Don't take offense to me posting this, its just a slight suggestion but looking at the LBGT forum I've noticed we have quite a few people, myself among them, who feel very sensitive about gender. Some are transgender and may consider themselves male or female currently but others feel unsure, confused and more gender neutral. I've noticed several forums other a gender other that's basically "other". I don't know how hard or easy it is to tamper with the site's code to change profiles to give a minority that option but its worth a thought. WP is already a community that reaches out to everyone, NT, spectrum, gay, straight, etc and ultimately a little field in a profile doesn't amount to much but hey its just an idea that I've seen used before. It probably requires too much work to edit in vs the payoff. I'm just going to continue identifying with what I feel "most" like til then.

Thanks for reading. Don't take my message with any degree of anger or frustration, this is my favorite community and truly feels like an online home for me. :P

This is a commonly recurring request. I doubt Alex will implement it in the current version of the site. He is busy working on a new version. I don't know if he plans to include an 'Other' but it would be a good idea considering how frequently it is requested.
