Notification when someone quote something you wrote

Another site I am on has this feature and I really miss it when I am here, would it be possible to implement it?

Sorry, no - it's only possible to be notified when posts are made on a thread to which you've posted, or created, and on receipt of a PM.

The site code isn't under active development so... not in this version. No ETA for any possible replacement either, I'm afraid.

But I'm a little puzzled - if something you've posted is being quoted then you'd be very, very likely to receive a notification anyway because the occurrences of someone making a post to a thread you're possibly not watching (hence, no notification), quoting something you wrote in a different thread, is actually quite rare on WP.
Quotes are pretty much exclusively made within the thread containing the original text.

The main reason I would benefit from it is that I'm from Norway so I'm on a different time than the main participants of this board. So what will often happen is that I will be on late at night and answer several discussions and then go to bed. When I wake up the threads can suddenly have 10 pages of more answers so even though I can see that there are new posts to that thread I might not have time to read through it all. Then it would be nice to be able to just click through what someone answered to me if someone quoted what I wrote in that subject so that I do not leave them nonrespondent.

But I think it's a handy feature for everyone because it allows you to answer direct questions/follow-ups quicker.

Helps you to get straight to the items of active involvement, instead of having to pick them out from amongst items of general interest.
