I know the server's been pretty loaded for a while or something but I've noticed particularly this week that the infinitely long page load hasn't been something I can just get up, walk away, have dinner, come back to, and its fixed. It seems like the page and my ability to either post or read a post flickers in an out with a regularity of about every 5 minutes. Is this just holiday overload?

Alex said its the increased number of members and WP is moving to a new more powerfull server next week.
