Hey, so I'm bi-gendered. This means I identify as both male and female, depending on the situation/my emotional state. As such, it'd be really nice if an 'Other' option could be added to the gender area. Would be even better if it could be turned into a field instead of a drop-down box, or a 'Specify' option allowed you to enter it in a field.

This sounds like a wonderful feature to have, though I have no idea how difficult it would be to implement. I've always thought having a "both" or "neither" option would be useful too!

it would be very easy to implement, and i would like to see it in future as well.

It would just mean changing the settings of that field to a text box.
Since alex has been able to implement text boxes for: signature, location and such I believe it wouldnt be that hard for him to change things

...and probably changing the existing database format to incorporate that change, with all the complexities and hidden pitfalls that involves.
The fields for gender, the signature and much of the other information in the profile is basic functionality included with any release of phpBB.

As it currently exists, WP is running in maintenance mode only: it is not being actively developed.
A brand new WP is being worked on and what's posted in this forum (and in the more accurate Site Suggestions thread here) will be noticed, but there is no data available on any features or when it will become available - so please, don't ask.
