there should be a subcategory of the getting to know each other with individual states. if people in one particular state want to discuss something local or meet something better than GRASP i would imagine

As WP is international, can you imagine how many states, counties, departments and regions that would make? Thousands of sub categories!

^ And many of the countries, regions, and territories that would have to be created would be completely empty (for instance, I really doubt anyone from Tokelau is a member on these forums).

It would wind up being a huge waste of time for a very limited reward. However, people have created threads to get to know people from X area before. I suggest you do that.
