Hi there.

Recently I feel that a moderator has violated what generally serves as the rules a moderator must, and should, follow to resolve issues on a forum. I have attempted to contact the mod directly in a PM but it was met with aggression and persistent misunderstanding. I know I can be difficult to understand, so I would like some help and I don't know who to ask.

Who should I contact regarding this?

I have no idea what issues you have had or with whom, but you could contact another mod or try to contact Alex the site owner directly.

Probably best to contact either Cornflake, or Tallyman. I have had no issues with either mod before.

No, Alex is the better choice, since he seems to give all such complaints nothing less than all of the attention they deserve.

:lmao:
Although it IS theoretically possible that a mod could actually be misbehaving or something

It's a non-zero probability, but still extremely unlikely.

It may be more likely that people get unhappy when a mod enforces the rules, or get offended when a mod points out the flaws in their claims.

Mods are human like the rest of us and have the same flaws. They may even have additional ones because of Asperger's. They all have their own personalities and experiences that have made them who they are. It is perfectly possible to have a mod behaving badly, and OP isn't the only one to have endured this. And when a mod does behave badly, their fixation on their opinions can be far worse than you'd get from an NT, by virtue of their AS.

Being a mod doesn't = God.

I have no idea if you are being sarcastic Fnord, although from experience of your posts it's highly likely. Are you implying that Alex will not care if mods are being over-zealous in their interpretation of site rules? Or are you denigrating those who have been victim to mod misbehaviour?

I made no such implication.

I made no such denigration.

Then it is probably best to assume that I am not being sarcastic.

This is disapointing. I left WP facebook group because of the new mod banning people for personal gripes and acting like it's his own personal fortress. Some people get off on a bit of power.. most mods are okay though.

Enough said - Their interpretation

If anyone can put up with whiners, spammers, misandrists, trolls, poseurs, conspiricists, misanthropes, schizophrenics, potential suicides, fundamentalists, Atheists, misogynists, racists, and a host of other disruptive types - all without having a stroke or resorting to the Banhammer every five seconds - they deserve to be a Mod.

Think about it ... if you were a Mod, how quickly would you ban yourself for some of the things you've posted?

If the site software /allowed/ that -> in about 25 seconds.

As MagsMorrigan was given an answer upthread, the purpose of this thread has been fulfilled.
