I was randomly banned from the IRC chat?

You could try sending a PM to Wardenwolf; he's a mod on the chat. None of the regular mods on this site has anything to do with the chat.

I got banned from the Skype discussion, because of how happy I was over something cool happening in my life.

I was given no reason why I was banned I havent been online in about a week and I find out Im banned

Note that there is NO official Skype discussion. Whoever you angered is not affiliated with WrongPlanet.net in any way, and was just another user.

We are not seeing a ban under your IP addresses (yes, I can see your forum IP). Note that we do NOT allow anonymous proxies in the chat due to severe abuses including stalking and threats. Anyone who we catch using a proxy without prior permission is banned, no questions asked.

It's very likely when you reconnected to the internet, it that so happens that the previous person who had that IP address was unfortunately banned from WrongPlanet IRC chat for whatever reason due to misconduct on their part or in rare cases, moderation abuse (which unfortunately I was a victim of here). You may have likely received their IP address which makes it very unfortunate for you as you would not be able to connect to WP chat.

Quick solution: In most cases you nay need to restart your internet connection which majority of the times, it will change to a different one which may release you from that unfortunate IP ban.

You could talk to WardenWolf who apparently moderates both the forum and the chatroom to unban your IP address and may help you go through step by step on what you would do or simply ask him to remove your IP of your ban list if necessary.

Again, I checked the IP address she posted from, and there is no ban on it. Given the nature of her previous posts, asking for help with the chat, my guess is that it is a technical problem rather than a case of her being banned.

FYI, Superboyian, claiming "Moderator abuse" without providing details will get you no sympathy. Everyone we've ever banned claims "abuse", even the most blatant rulebreaker or spammer. The chat operators have to deal with lots of situations that are significantly uglier than the forum usually sees, including stalking and occasionally threats of physical violence. And every one of them has claimed we banned them unfairly. Keeping the chat a safe and pleasant place for discussion is not easy, and the ops invariably are hated for what they do.

Of course it would get me no sympathy but there was evidence where a member was actually attempting to troll me and yet I was mistakenly banned for what someone else had done and YET, the moderator WAS there throughout the whole conversation and I felt that there was an unfair judgement. If both of us were banned, then yes, I would have nothing to complain about as it was a fault at both parties but to favor the other party over me while KNOWING that they were in the wrong, again, MOD ABUSE. Right now, I will not provide anymore details as it occurred around 3 years ago as of now, I have no interest. So of course, I would claim I was banned unfairly and it has happened here on the forums also without any explanation which IS actually mod abuse and clearly doesn't take an idiot to figure that one out.

Anyways, the past is the past and I have nothing more I would add to it.

Anyways I shall leave it as that.
