Why? Why can't I delete my post? What if I post something I want to take back or something that is inappropriate?

You can edit them.
Up to a certain point.

I just wish that I could be able to delete some of the stuff that I posted or forums that I created. I have a guilty conscience. :(

Think before you type then.
Or within a few weeks of after
you do so. Once it's been in
the public so long, it shouldn't make a
bit of difference anyhow. Just makes
it easier for someone to prove that
you actually wrote something.

I agree. The pro of forums is that you have the advantage of actively thinking about it as you write before you hit the word "submit." The con is once you hit the word submit, there it is for all to see. You can still edit it. Still, if you feel you said something in error you can do as many have done and acknowledge error or apologize.

I think people generally here are pretty willing to forgive, and let bygones be bygones. We all make mistakes and do unwise things for various reasons.

Somewhat, but if you're REALLY worried about
what you're revealing, it shouldn't be going up
without some thought.

Regardless, one has the 9999 minutes to change
their mind.

I think before I type. I know I can edit them. I just can't see any possible reason why I shouldn't be able to delete my post.

Good reason? I don't know.
But it's the way it is, which
is a particularly good reason -
i.e. the software isn't configured
to allow you to do so.
