OK, CloudFlare seems to be getting worse

It used to be that the Cloudflare anti-spambot things were relatively easy to bypass; I'd write my post, click submit, hit the back button when the thing came up, hit submit again, fill in the captcha, and boom, done. Now, I sometimes get stuck in loops where it becomes impossible to edit my messages, and it'll occasionally become impossible for me to post in certain threads if I'm replying to someone I've quoted.

I know the CAPTCHA is kind of the "face" of the issue that everyone is complaining about, but these CAPTCHAs wouldn't even come up in the first place if CloudFlare's anti-spambot system wasn't completely broken. It lets bots through, and it mistakes actual users for bots, especially in posts containing multiple quotes.

I am getting sick and tired of this, as are a lot of other people on this forum. Something needs to be done about the spambot filter, it's clearly not working, so why keep it? Why not replace it with a different product, or at least a different version? In its current state, this Wrong Planet is BROKEN.

I agree, this is out of hand. I find that the captcha loop can sometimes be broken if you eliminate all code, including quotes, from your post. Then I go back to the trad. type of quoting like this.

I just don't get how normal code tags trip the anti-spambot system, yet posts advertising Indian sex workers don't.

the site has become almost unusable again

maybe alex should put some more time and money into the site or delegate it to someone else if he doesn't have the time

This logging out s**t is getting way out of hand.
