I think there is a glitch in the PM system

I keep getting blocked for some reason. I got blocked a couple days ago, and I decided to determine what phrase was blocking me. First I figured it must be something I said in the message that could be deemed inappropriate (it wasn't insulting or anything, just possibly deemed inappropriate). But I deleted all those things, even whole paragraphs, to see if it would unblock, and it wouldn't. Then I went through and systematically deleted each individual paragraph until it unblocked, then every sentence in that paragraph, etc., and I discovered that I was being blocked for this and only this collection of characters, written here in the brackets: [" or something]. I also found that if I took various letters out of the word "something", like the "e" or the "i" (only one, I didn't try multiple) it would still block me (I was literally trying to send only this one collection of characters, the rest of the message was pasted into notepad). Basically I determined that if I left the [" or som] intact and only deleted any one of the letters afterwards, it would block me.

I only tried it on a few letters, and then I got bored with it because I'd already figured out what was blocking my PM. So I pasted my original message and changed only that little part of the message, and I was able to send it.

Now the same thing is happening again, and I really do not feel like doing this every time I'm trying to send a long PM. I know that there is nothing that could even be deemed slightly inappropriate in this message, and considering what it was that was blocking me last time, it's probably just another meaningless collection of characters.

If somebody could look into this, that would be great. I haven't sent the PM I wrote today, as it is blocked, but I have the text saved, so if a mod or Alex needs it to look into the problem I can send it (probably in an email, considering it's blocked as a PM  ).

Thanks.

Edit: Well, after writing this, I decided that it might actually be the same string of characters blocking me. Sure enough, I had at some point in my message written the same thing. So I deleted it, now it's allowed again. Why?

I got this just now. I'm pretty sure I did nothing that should have triggered it. O_o I think it should be looked into as well before more people get annoyed by this. D:

It seems to occur when you make a long PM, which really isn't that long. This never happened on the old forums, so I think it's a glitch with the new ones.

I ran into this glitch too...I think if you write a message long enough to make the reply box start scrolling, it triggers the glitch.

*edit* nope, never mind, that's not it. I'm stumped as to what is causing it.

I think it's a problem with the length of the PM. It's blocking you from making an entire paragraph of words. :/ I found this out after shortening my paragraph and trying to send the message again. Once it was a little shorter, it was easier to send to the person. However, it's hard because you can't always do that. It also doesn't seem like this thread is getting Alex's attention... maybe someone should PM him? Then again, that might also be hard with this current issue blocking you from writing a detailed paragraph of what's happening.
