It may be right in front of my face and I've missed seeing it, but is there some place with a list of the forum features and how to use them? Also is there something that tells me again how to insert a video, a link, and a photo?

Two new features I can think-of, are: There's now a message, sometimes, when you go to post, it'll say, something like: "At least one other person has posted since you read the thread. Do you still want to post?" (It appears on the page [not every time] where it says: "Your post has been entered successfully". If you get this message, just hit the "Submit" button, again.) Also, we now have the option of creating 3 folders for messages in the PM area. You just click-on "Create Folder" (or, something like that), and follow the directions. (I wish we could create about TEN.) There are others, I think, but that's the ones I've encountered, so far.
I don't know of any place that lists the new features, on here.
As for inserting links, videos, and photos..... On the "Post a Reply" page, in the upper left-hand corner (just above the box where you type your message, where the "B" [bold], "I" [italic], and "U" [underline] are, there is a WHITE square that says: "You", in black, and "Tube" is written in WHITE, on a red background. You can type a URL and then highlight it, and then click on that white square.
For links: type a URL (website address), highlight what you typed, then click on the symbol (located in the same area----it looks like a world globe with a little chain link, at the bottom), and your link should appear, correctly.
For pics: Again, type the URL, highlight what you have typed, then click-on a smaller white box (same location) with a mountain and sun on it (the last symbol on the row).

By far the best new feature. Otherwise not so good. I expect a lot of bugs and new issues in any new software, but it seems the fixes are creating more problems.
While the idea that Autistics have Theory of Mind problems has become unpopular here, the people who developed this new site have this issue. A commonality is that that programmers just assumed the users think like them, thus no new or changed feature notifications or instructions or instruction manual. There is as super tight time limit but again no message saying save your work or else, which is how most software works.
The diagnoses dialogue page coming up at odd times bug is a reminder that the there are no options that recognize that the DSM 5 has happened.

Yeah, I can't understand, for the LIFE of me, why this site wasn't Beta-tested----and, if it WAS, how could people have missed such GLARING errors. 'Course pictures were put-up, over a year ago, showing what the new site was gonna be like, and complaints were lodged, THEN, but.....
i do like the notification gotten when someone else posts before you do, but with most everything else i wish one could disable it, in really active game threads i've sometimes had to wait until 3 other posts have been made before mine had gotten a chance to go through. since the discourse was so fast and i spent so much time retyping my posts.
to me at least, it's useful when you're responding to the above poster without quotes.
Cat, this site was beta tested...in august though, so many things may have changed between then and november.
we could add the info to the new site into the existing FAQ, that could be an idea. ![]()
