Is the "Foe" option meant to make my view of a forum thread appear without the posts of the Foe? Because if so, it's not working apparently.

I had thought that it would remove the person's posts so that whatever they've contributed to the thread, I can't see it or read it, like some other sites are able to do. But instead I'm still seeing their posts just like normal.

Is this a glitch or is the Foe function not what I thought it was? I'd really like to just read a thread and not keep running into the comments of the person I don't want to hear the input of. I know I could just physically look past them but it doesn't always go that way once you're deep into reading the discussion.

Hi Kraftie!

Sorry I'm not around much anymore; got a bit upset with the place. Hope you're well.

Can anyone fill me in regarding how the Foe feature is supposed to operate?

I had hoped it meant that when you add a member to the Foe list, their posts are greyed out or missing from your browser's view of a thread.

Is this correct, and if so, is it going to be fixed? Because I can still read posts from someone I added to my foe list.

Can anyone tell me more about this feature? Moderators or Alex? Thank you.

 No, no, it's not you, kraftie, hahaha!

(Someone....hurry, help!) Just kidding!

Seriously though, it's just this person who, I feel, for me, derails and hijacks some topics. The other day someone started an interesting topic I really wanted to see a conversation about, and this person basically shot the whole thing down and stayed there to keep doing it and arguing. I've kind of had enough of running into that person, even just reading the threads and not taking part.

There's another site (not autism related at all) that makes you able to not see any post from a chosen person, and I had hoped that the new Foe thing here would perform the same function.

That's what the Foe function is supposed to do.

Currently, all it does is stop their posts displaying on the "Topic Review" that appears when you are writing a review. It's basically totally useless.

Thanks for confirming that, The_Walrus; so it's supposed to blank out posts but it's not working correctly.

I hope someone can address that, as it's a useful feature elsewhere on the internet and could be good here.
