I tried to re-log in. Looks like Dossa is a default account that appears to be mine when I amn't logged in as AspieUtah.

Yeah, I was briefly in your account (don't know how, just was). Anyway, I hope this gets looked into. I would hate to think all accounts are this scattered. :?

This happened to me as wel!! !! When I looked at my account settings I was somehow in another person's account (not dossa, someone else). I closed the screen because obviously I should not be allowed to tweak someone else's account, but I got the feeling I was able to. I was in my account settings screen to upload an avatar picture, which I was somehow not able to do. It uploaded the picture, but does not display it.

Hehe! Maybe we somehow tapped into the data-mining back door vortex for Microsoft, Windows, NSA.... :lol:

In any case, Alex or one of the moderators should definitely look into what happened.

so that's dossa with a lowercase 'd', not uppercase. (like, ^^)

my first instinct was to check for any IP matches between you two, and i did not find any so a simple scrambling of the accounts and tables is probably what happened there. we've been in the "process of performing a full database backup so we can test some potential changes in a development environment....changes are still made, it just takes time as they're queued up until after the backup is completed." for over a month now, although i'm not sure how relevant that is.

were you actually able to post, and everything as dossa, during this?! 8O this is obviously a huge and easily exploitable (depending on who you are..) problem and having this is embarrassing. i think you should definitely PM/email Alex about this, because this is unfortunately the extent of my knowledge about this, until it inevitably happens to myself....

At least with my experience in crossed-wires, I didn't attempt to do anything (like post a message) within dossa's account, so I can't say if I would have been able to do so.

Your explanation of the database backup probably is correct. I hope it was a one-day glitch and all is otherwise well.
