"banned" message

ever since the new format came about, i occasionally get a message that i've been banned, even though i can still read and post. i just can't access the home page. i'm "banned permanently" right now.

I get the same thing on Chrome but not of Firefox...very strange.

nope. i'm banned in firefox, too.

it's lasting longer than usual this time. still "banned".

I've just gotten this message after logging in. I hadn't posted in months before this message so it would have been very strange if it were real. I can log in now though.

currently not banned. no explanation.

Received a message saying I am banned. No reason noticed, and the forums@wrongplanet.net email address doesn't even work. What in the heck is going on? Maintenance, or a hacker?

It's a competition.

The millionth person to be falsely perma-banned will get a free set of steak knives.
