#WrongPlanet has some new security measures you should be aware of. For the most part, if you are a day-to-day user, you won't see any changes. If you are an user who is not registered with freenode (the chat room host) then you will notice a new change.
Due to all the recent spam attacks, we have now implemented a human-verification system. If we are in lockdown, instead of all non-registered users being blocked from entering, now you will be redirected to #wrongplanet-unreg and prompted to solve a puzzle. Once you have solved it, you will be invited to the channel. All you need to do is type "/join #wrongplanet" without quotes, then press enter.
As always, #WrongPlanet and freenode recommend you register your nickname and use SASL to authenticate on connect if you have an IRC client.
