My concern is the 'Similar Topics' link under our posts.

Right now there is :

That's over 7 years ago!

This is my personal pet peeve about WP.
I knew 3 people on WP who have died, I have had truly dear friends leave and we have had depart people who I thought were hysterically funny, profoundly wise, absolutely sympathetically caring and everyaspy else who posted here, that had my sympathy and respect and solidarity in the face of this disaster of a condition we all struggle with ...and at any moment I can see a post Necro'd from the past, completely stupidly, and have to go through all the pain and loss all over again!

And Now, it's not just random members necro'ing threads, it's institutionalised on the forum!

It's not fair!

I respectfully request this feature be removed.

It's not fair for you to censor people because you have triggers. Your dear friends and dearly departed do not own topics or personal issues, nor do you. Because people phrase concerns in a way that is similar to someone from the past is no reason to deny them the right to self expression. We all have triggers. Unless it is outright verbatim plagiarism everyone has a right to express themselves. Sorry. Don't mean to sound unsympathetic.

Do you think you are the only person feeling pain here, in WP? Is all other pain to take deference to what you feel. Everyone else issupposed to put their suffering on back burner while you soup through you issues? Why not be open. Lear from each other. help each other. Dissipate some of that hostility.

I think the “Similar Topics” feature is nice—too bad there’s such a big taboo against reviving old threads, because otherwise it would be more useful.

How the **** could anything anybody said 7 years ago be useful?

I started posting here seven years ago and my posts were s**t on a stick!

in fact the only reason to have the internet or WP is to tell them in REAL Life
how much you care about them and love them
