Missing posts

I've run across at least two threads in which I participated; I wasn't the starter of the threads, just someone replying.

My posts are missing, plus also those of other members who responded. These particular threads were not even about anything controversial or against the terms and conditions, and also no fighting broke out.

Can anyone tell me if this is a glitch?

Are the older posts visible but not the new ones? That’s a glitch that for some reason has happened to some threads.

If that’s the problem, then you can scroll down to the bottom of the page in the thread where you have this issue, where you will see a line under the last post where you can choose how to sort the posts. If you change "Ascending" to "Descending", you should see the missing posts.

You can also switch the Display posts from previous setting. It has worked for me at least.

Hi Skilpadde; what I'm seeing is the older posts consisting of the original post and a couple of replies around the same time, and also some new posts including "Today", but it seems the ones in the middle are gone.

I've tried the Ascending/Descending option and they're still missing. It's like a whole chunk of my posting history was deleted even though I know these particular posts had nothing controversial in them, as the threads in question were not emotive, just information exchanges.

That's strange.

There are threads that have lost posts after the move to new WP. If the missing replies are that old, the posts you're talking about could be among them.
If that’s not it, then I just don't know. Sorry!

That could be it, although I think some are missing from just a month ago also.

Ah well -- nothing vital to humanity was lost, except for that one post where I detailed the cure for cancer...
