Why are my age and location not showing here

Only my age shows when you click to look at my actual profile.

Do I need to make a certain number of posts or something?

From my understanding, there's a bug in the system that prevents updates that you've made to your profile page from showing up on your forum posts. For the users who do have their location and age visible under their username, it was probably there before the system update.

If it bothers you, then you could create a signature with your age/location or provide this link: http://wrongplanet.net/author/username/ [replace "username" with your own account name]. So when you go to your account and edit your profile, whatever changes you made actually do get updated, but it's visible only on this profile page.

you used to be able to fix the age on the author panel by chanhging the slashes in the birthday input to dashes. i edited the FAQ to reflect that.

i've been 18 for a month and i even with using hyphens i can't change my age anywhere. it changed.

location's always been screwed up, since early February. i don't even remember why i chose "Wynn".

i agree with Beau, you're probably better off adding that info to your signature. while you still can.
