For the last few weeks I have been noticing intermittent spells of being repeatedly logged out for no apparent reason.

It's happening often today.

Annoying. :x

I know it. I'm still having that problem once in a while.

The worst part is when you spend 15 minutes carefully writing and editing a post, and then when you go to preview it asks you to log in, and then you log and the damned post is gone!

The back button usually brings it back, but it's not at all a user-friendly experience. :(

I am getting logged out so often I am starting to feel like I have offended Alex or WP in general and worn out my welcome--though I recognize that this is not a rational thought.

This just happened to me twice. I hit "reply", then I get asked to log in (which I had been). I log in, write a reply, then hit "submit", get asked to log in again, and my reply is gone.

you certainly never offended me.

i'm starting to feel guilty that this doesn't happen to me?

*edit...well, never mind then.

Does this mean that it is now happening to you? For your sake I hope not!

Yes I've been getting logged out repeatedly for a week or more now; I too made a thread about it. It's still happening and is sometimes every few minutes.

I'll click to submit a post, or I'll click to go back to View Posts, and I'm thrown onto unlogged in status and have to log in over and over again. Even though I check the box saying keep me logged in. It's very frustrating.

Things are pretty much back to the way they were prior to the latest fix that did alleviate things for awhile. Also the error messages are back.

yes, only on mobile though. it's near instantaneous now, get logged out again after clicking any link after logging in.

really don't understand why Alex can't just get normal forum software with proper professional support, it doesn't cost that much money

Hey everyone.

For those who are still experiencing this issue, do you enter your username and password into the area in the middle of the page (A) or in the top right corner (B)? I found that when I log in using the B area, then I won't get prompted to log in again, but it might just be luck lol. Something to try I guess.

Refer to this pic for A and B

Funnily enough, this isn't happening to me any more. It used to happen to me every few minutes, on both my computer and phone, even if I ticked the box to remember me for this session during login. It frustrated me no end.

And now for some reason, the problem seems to have solved itself ... at least so long as I remember to tick the "remember me this session" box (or whatever it's called). Such a relief!
