I've been putting up with having to stop loading WrongPlanet on my phone because it keeps redirecting me to advertisement pages, and I've even been muting my computer because the page keeps playing ridiculous adverts aloud (surely, on an Autism website only muted adverts ought to be allowed? Please fix this).

But I've finally reached tipping point - my computer keeps getting stuck on pages and not letting me load them properly or type into the comment boxes without such severe lag that after a several minutes of being stuck on the same character I am forced to exit the page. My comments now have to be typed in note pad. Chrome tells me what it is loading in the bottom of the page and it is always a reference to adverts when it gets stuck.

The problem is isolated to WrongPlanet - I can load any other website and even type things into the omnibar if I switch tabs while it is still stuck on WrongPlanet.

I have to use some ad-blocking software to use WP. Otherwise it's very difficult. Some ads are very intrusive, too. I really didn't have a choice. Now with that program installed, I can use WP comfortably. Why don't you install one of those programs?

I've been getting something similar to what the OP describes, but maybe not so severe. This is on my own Windows 8.1 computer. I mention that because, when I use one of the Widows 7 machines in my local library, the problem doesn't occur.

I'm having a problem too. I added a flash blocker to google chrome, but that isn't helping either.

I may have to stop using wrong planet, there's no point if i can't get the pages to load.
