Error 403

I keep getting a weird error message whenever I try to send a message [Error 403]. What's that about?

Darn it, now it won't even let me save my message drafts! I can post just fine so I don't understand what's going on! Help please!

Um...suddenly it started working again and message was sent without a hitch. How bizarre.

Oh, wait. Some sort of 'website under maintenance' page just came up, and my message wasn't even sent at all! It says that I don't have permission or something. What the heck is going on???

It's only on the private messaging function. I've had it happen before, it may ask you to log in again, and then take you back to the compose a message page, albeit with an empty text box. My recommendation is to use ctrl+c to copy the text you typed before sending and then ctrl+v if it sends you back to the compose a message page (not sure what the commands are in a non-windows environment, but every operating system should have copy and paste shortcuts).

Alex-- it's an authentication error of some sort, I haven't seen it in weeks, but if the issue hasn't been solved the next time I see it I'll post a screen shot here. My initial thought when I saw it was that the PM functions use a different user authentication method than the forum itself and thus a different user session, but that's just a guess.

Thanks a lot, guys! I hope it gets worked out soon. By the way, did you know that [in Canada at least] we're in Mercury Retrograde [that's when Mercury appears to spin backwards and also when communications often get mixed up and scrambled].

Plus there's the Autumn Equinox, the full moon on Sunday, and a total lunar eclipse! Yikes! What a lot of crazy energy! The next thing I know I'll be a werewolf! [I hope not; that wouldn't be fun!]
