how exactly would a fellow go about posting pictures or videos on here?

You can upload pictures to an image hosting site like Imgur, then enter the URL of the picture into your post and put [img][/img~] (exclude the ~) on either side of the URL.

As for YouTube videos, when you click "Post Reply" there is a "YouTube" icon in the top-left-hand corner above the text box. Click it and enter the video URL next to "Enter a link for YouTube Video" then click "Insert into message".

yeah, both are visible to me. I think it appeared like that because I deleted it 5 minutes later.

Is it possible to get pictures on here straight from social media? I'd like to get my pictures from my google plus, but Im not really sure how that works out...
