I am logged into my account and I am getting CAPTCHA? What the F*** is up with that s**t?

Me too. I was thinking maybe Alex is trying to stop spammers so he put the Captcha thingys up.

There's a thread in wrongplanet.net discussion. I think Tallyman is taking a break from the forum because the captcha is so persistent.

I got that, too, and there was no text box to type in the letters. So I couldn't even post my message and lost all that I had typed. That was very annoying.

I can't remember there being a problem with spam on WP. Are the admins getting spammed with PMs or something?

At first I got a lot of captcha but now mostly when I make more than one post in a certain amount of time. Different forums just do it differently I guess. The problem seems to be as soon as those kinda things aren't there spammers get straight onto forums. I remember one forum I even had to contact the admin to ask him to open up the registration for me.. once it was open I spent less than a second to click "register" and he said in that time 3 spambots got onto the forums.

Know Tallyman had this problem too its a bit much and something needs to be done or no nice fat member figures!

I've just started to get them too, its very frustrating because my brain doesn't cope too well with trying to decipher those twisted letters
