Say, I was wondering since medical and recreational cannabis has been the topic of many a discussion across the nation and the prospect of cannabis being an effective treatment for autism and autism spectrum disorders.

Hey! It just dawned on me; I'm a cannabis patient/aficionado and I have Asperger's and I'm a pretty decent writer. Think it might be possible to contribute an article on the subject?

What I meant to say was that I'd like to write an article on how cannabis affects me as someone with an ASD.

Correct me if I am wrong, but this topic was brought up before; and since the use of marijuana is still a federal crime in the USA, and since the server for this website is in the USA, and since the owner of this website is a citizen of the USA ... the topic of marijuana use was deemed inappropriate for the WrongPlanet website.

Does this apply to the forums too or just articles on the site?

I ask because the topic of marijuana can be found in many threads and I am myself a drug user. I don't consider marijuana an addiction but I am drug addict too, I use just about anything I can get a hold of. I can cut out my references to drugs if this is inappropriate. My intention is to follow the rules as an fyi so while I can seem bad at times, its not my goal to act in an inappropriate way. I am very poor judge of whats appropriate so I hope mods see that when I make mistakes.

Personally I behave worst with alcohol, I don't think marijuana should be a schedule drug but I can't really comment on this topic and seemed justified since I abuse so many drugs. I probably hurt marijuana legalization more than anything because I appear worst off due to other substances.

They still have to put the regulatory framework in place, so it's not exactly legal yet. I can't wait for it to be though, it's a safer recreational substance than alcohol, and it also has a great amount of therapeutic potential. As well, it'll put a dent into organized crime since people will finally have a legal alternative to seeking out shady dealers.

There are more medical dispensaries in walking distance of my home than there are Starbucks. It's not too uncommon to see people walking down the street smoking in many parts of LA (especially venice).

I don't think an article on the medical use of any substance for autism (be it MDMA, THC, etc) would be completely inappropriate as long as it is clear that it may be illegal in some places and should only be taken under doctor's orders (except in places like Colorado where you can get it recreationally).

I voted for the "Medicinal Marijuana" initiative a few years back. For the very sick, it just makes sense to me. There don't seem to be many dispensaries in Orange County (next to Los Angeles County), however.

Yeah, who cares? Marijuana is normal now.
