Setting up a new account

I'm thinking of setting up a new account on here for reasons I don't want to explain/discuss. I know you can't delete accounts so I figured if I just set up a new one, the old one would just fade into forum history? I'm thinking I'll use the same avatar for a while so those I'm more familiar with can identify me then I'll change it.

it will 'fade', as in your old posts and threads will be overshadowed by new ones but they'll still be easily accessible by searching.

using multiple accounts is normally against WP rules (sockpuppeting), but exceptions can be made if there is a compelling enough reason.
