I am wondering if there is a section of this site where it would be appropriate to post resources listing professionals in a specific region that can diagnose/professional assess adults for ASD? I think the difficulty that I experienced personally in trying to find anyone in my area who could make the diagnose is a struggle that I am sure many other adults have faced. There seems to be an abundance of professionals who can diagnose children, and plenty of government based and autism charity based databases describing these resources but often there is no mention of where adults should look in order to get properly assessed.

I wonder if there is maybe a sticky thread that already exists or that we could have in some section of this website where users can volunteer and post their city/general area and which professional they saw in order to get a diagnosis, and whether or not this professional was privately paid for(how much $), or publicly funded(for those who live in countries with public healthcare), covered by medicaid, etc. Maybe this could help someone out there who is an adult, and suspects they may be on the spectrum, but hasn't a clue of who to go to in order to get assessed.

this: viewtopic.php?t=119109 seems to be the closest thing to what you propose that already exists, but i would not exactly call it active.
