Bug hides some posts

There is a bug that is hiding some posts. It showed up in this thread:
viewtopic.php?t=96963

In normal view settings, the second page ends with this post: viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96963&start=15#p6272931
And the third page begins with this post:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96963&start=30

But TheAP noticed that some threads in between those were missing. Changing the view to only show things posted within 1 year restores the missing posts:
The revealed posts start with:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96963&start=30#p6956880
and end with:
viewtopic.php?f=3&t=96963&start=30#p6957038

So that's six posts that vanish under normal view settings. I don't know if this is happening in other threads, but there could be a lot of posts hidden by this bug.

Skilpadde has discovered a workaround that allowed me to fix this (thanks!), but we don't know what causes it, so it may happen in other threads.
