Everybody listen up, if you like Wrong Planet then click on the advertisements.

Because Alex gets paid every time someone clicks on the advertisements.

So everyone, click on the advertisements so you can help contribute to Alex's gas money.

Yeah I like WrongPlanet. I've posted almost 21,000 times here; whereas I've never gotten even to 500 on any other forum.

I don't like the advertisements, though. They sometimes make the system slow, and sometimes cause me not to be able to write PM's on my phone.

I understand, obviously, why WP needs advertising, though.

California has some of the highest gas prices in the US. Still over $2.00 a gallon. Even NYC has quite a few stations which are under $2.00 per gallon now.

I had to add an ad blocker to my browser to block advertising. The last thing that I need as an Aspie is a too loud talking ad screaming in my ears!

I wont be clicking on any adverts, no way no how.

I have ad blocker anyway.

$1.50+-maybe 20 cents, depending on where you are in the state. Yey for fracking I guess. I'm pretty sure Alex makes a comfortable amount of money these days doing promotional stuff and talking to movie stars so I'm keeping my ad blocker on .

Sorry, but I block online advertisements as a matter of principle, and I've done it ever since I was hit by a drive-by download while browsing DeviantArt. I know they pay for things, including my favorite sites, BUT, they pose a security risk, and they waste my time, screen space, and bandwidth.

I have purchased DeviantArt subscriptions in the past so I could support the site directly, and I'd be willing to do so for WP as well, but it always seems to slip my mind.

Alex has autism, and people with autism couldn't possibly drive a car.

Then ofcourse i was curious once, to find cheap s**t advertised, why on earth would one buy that by internet?
Protein bars or cures for baldness, masquerading the content-space or publicitainment, when a bigger spender on advertising is not surprisingly big pharma, and a goal for pharmaceutic-engeneering is 50% of population on mental health medication, early diagnosis? or voluntairy enslavement?

This hosting is probably effectively free if it's being self hosted, or low cost as the frequent anti-flooding mechanisms indicate. This site is running rickety old forum software that hasn't been updated in god knows how long and could use a css makeover too. I like the amount of people here though.
