I got tired of having to type out :!: Mich :?: at the end of my posts, so I decided to make it a signature. Since I read that you're supposed to use HTML coding, I used <.b.><.u.> instead of [.b.][.u.], but it wouldn't do the bold and underline features like it was supposed to! I used HTML! What went wrong?

You have to do it this way: "[.b][.u]text[./u][/b]" rather than "[.b][.u][./b]text[./u]," the way you have it; without the "." of course.

In other words, in opposite order, "a-b" / "b-a", not "a-b" / "a-b"

You need to use "[" and "]," not "<" and ">."

Type this "[.b][.u]Mich[./u][./b] without the ".'s" and you will get this: Mich

I'm fed up with this signature thing! So, goodbye signature! For now on...I don't know!

I've been using the bold and underline tags in the "Member's locations (state/country)" thread.

In case you haven't noticed, I got a new signature that has updates about my topics. It currently says:

I too have tried to use the BOLD markers for my signature, but I can't even get it to show up on my posts, even though I have the "always show my signature" radio bo checked.

The issue I mentioned in the Smaller fonts in signatures? thread is definitely related to this.

Why aren't getting our concerns regarding the bugs and ideas commented on and/or answered?

I' ve been trying to use formatting for posts too, and it never seems to work, mostly I just want to use italics or bold, so I select the text I want to format, then click on the appropriate box...and nothing happens!

Can someone tell me the correct way to use the formatting tools?

Bold is [.b]text[/b] ----------------> text
Underline is [.u]text[/u] ---------> text
Italics: [.i]text[/i] -----------------> text

Do not put the "." before each first tags.
