Why does my age not show?

Hey, when I first signed up for WP I had just read the members only section on disclosure of information so I did not put in my birth date and chose the permanent name I now have. I now see the benefit in showing your age to others in forum discussions so I entered my birth date into my profile.

The problem I'm having is that my age is not showing up in my posts on the forum now. Why, what have I done or failed to do, how do I fix this?

^ are you using that to edit your profile?

i tweaked my age there just now and the change went through.

make sure you are using hyphens when entering your birthdate and not slashes.

FYI, we have a FAQ for these kinds of questions...it's quite old but i've been trying to keep it updated. "age not showing" is one i've answered.

Well, In the Past, Probably like a Month after I joined It said I was either a year younger or a year older than I am, so Yeah, it is a weird thing, I can't imagine why this would be. Have you checked to see whether your Birth Date is in the System?

for a while it said i was 17 for a few months after i became 18. had to change my birth year to '96 to display it correctly.
