Bizarre asked why/how/who appeared to hack into her inbox

which just seemed to draw personal attacks from Calandale and others.

I stood up for Bizarre and now my inbox appears to have been hacked as well. I emailed this to bizarre, which may have prompted her to "bump" her post to bring it back to Alex's attention.


**edit** - having trouble getting a larger picture. The number of messages is 65,535

Surely this is worthy of attention, but it was locked by the same mod that made personal attacks on Bizarre


still waiting for an explaination ...... is someone (trying to) get unauthosied access into private messages?

Why is Calandale trying to block any discussion of it?

Don't ask me. As far as I know, this was probably a glitch. In any case, you have my word, as useless as it is over the internet, that I personally had nothing to do with it, or have no knowledge of it.

The lack of response bizarre is getting from Alex (she sent him an email and got no reply) is unremarkable. I've tried contacting him a number of times. It's like trying to get a straight answer from God.

I also have not been able to contact alex on occasion, but to be honest, he is probably under a lot of stress IRL with the end of the school year and it is horribly stressful being an admin. No one is ever happy, everyone wants you to take care of something for them, and everyone blames you for everything.

I like bizzare. and well grel; we have our differences but she probably aint so bad.
I dunno about calandale, he may be a troll spammer, but i dont think he would be too messed up in pettiness.

Im probably sticking my nose in where it's not wanted, but it beats watching Neighbours.

In any case, this is still disturbing news. To my knowledge, none of the mods currently active are involved, and while this may not be a coincidence, I'm still of the opinion that this is a glitch. However, if this is truly an attack by someone, and we can get 'divine intervention', then we will deal with the guilty party.

I'd like a sample of a so-called personal attack
that I've made. I have been MORE than yielding
to the attacks which were made on the mods,
in the name of free speech.

Bazza, I know you dislike me, and have some
sort of personal crank here, but I would have
expected more than unsubstantiated claims
from you. If you just want a flame fest, this
isn't the place. You know where to find me
for that.

Just had a thought. Was there anything you were doing, Bazza, that bizarre was doing before you found out about this? Did it happen in vitro (while you were logged off from WP) or in vivo (while you were actually logged on and posting on WP)?

Try and remember the circumstances just before it occurred (besides the obvious posting about mods).

Alex doesn't answer PM's. That's pretty clear,
at this point.

Could you not use that 'Contact Us' page if it's important?
Or is that just for other stuff?

I believe that it was well explained in the locking.

1. Bizarre says she's leaving. Disappears.
Cool, I figure things will calm down.

2. Comes back, and the first post is a bump
of the very attack which was causing all the
hard feelings.

There ain't a lot for me to think than that this
is some sort of attempt at instigation. If she
had added some relevant point, that would
have been addressed. All that she seemed
to be doing, from my point of view, was trying
to reopen wounds, without anything to add.
Seemed like an act of pure spite.

I was logged on. I received "1 new message", checked it and replied. When I went back to "discussions" I saw I had "65,535 new messages" which was very similar to what Bizarre had complained about.

If this is a glitch, has it happened to many other members? It would be an exraordinary coincidence if it only happened to bizarre and me

If calmly stating one's rationale
and perceptions of attacks on
others counts as a personal attack,
yeah bazza, you have me cold.

But I've seen a good deal direct
attacks spewed forth in this matter,
and have TRIED to remain objective.
Seems silly to be calling out just about
every person who is paying attention,
yet not already stating that they agree
entirely with one's point of view. There
is a word for that - intolerance.

Indeed. There is no question that SOMETHING funny is going on.
Unfortunately, only alex has the ability (afaik) to check the logs
and see exactly what.
