Is it me, or does the WP home page take longer to load than the other pages on here?

Yeah I think it does. I sometimes get that with just random pages as well though, even when the rest or loading straight away.

It's because (I think) a search has to be
done on the DB, in order to list the most recent threads
and such. Though the results should be cached.
