Could somebody please explain how I can delete myself?

Dozens of people read my introduction... nobody even acknowledged me. I’m just as invisible and invalid here as I am out in the so-called real world.
It’s taken me weeks to muster the courage to sign up.
Of all the places I have utterly failed to fit in.
The irony. It’s almost funny.

Then it sounds like you belong here, because this is a place made up of people who don't belong anywhere.

I used to prove exceptional in that capacity - elaving just about anything and everything. It’s one of a very select few skill sets I actually excel at. I’m so talented at disappearing that people wouldn’t even notice... not that I suspect they noticed my presence to begin with.

I deleted my introduction - after I’d sat up all night awaiting some kind of response, and picking over and over and over it to try to figure out what I’d said that was so abhorrent. Ultimately I found it too humiliating. Isn’t there any way I can delete myself, please?

Why don't you introduce yourself again and give it another chance?

Sometimes more time is needed until someone answers.

It's reasonable not to expect immediate responses on a forum like this, though usually there are responses over the first 24 hours. You could try again?

It's 4am and I have to go to sleep onaccounta I got to get up tomorrow to have someone stick needles in my head. I wouldn't be surprised if the elave me too. Everybody always elaves me. But you'll at least want to hang around for a couple days to find out about the needle thing, in case it ever happens to you.

Let us know what you would like to do.

Two options: give posting another go, maybe joining existing threads and posting on them would be comfortable for you to begin with.

Or we can - if you wish - remove this thread and put a voluntary ban on your account (it will mean you can't change your mind and use it again).

I joined recently too and found no response to the introduction thread. i don't think people round here read those. One thread that is a little bit fun and a sort of way to ease into introducing yourself is the 2 truth 1 lie thread. There are a handful of people who pop in and keep it going and it is an easy way to put your toe in the water.

Please don't leave yet. This place is not called Wrong Planet for nothing. Many of us here do not fit in and are not good at social stuff.

The Haven is another option that might feel safer to begin with. It is more protective and protected than other forums here.

That's strange ... I think that you all have missed something.

The OP's first post was a question on how she could delete herself, and yet those who replied before me seem to have thought that she mean her account instead. All three of her posts are in this thread -- unedited.

The OP may be having some serious personal problems.
