Before I could post a long response I had to do the cacha thing (sorry can't remember proper name) to prove I am not a robot. Usually I just mark the box but this time some pictures came up and I had to pick out all the pictures with a motorbike in them. The problem is the question is at the top and if I can see the question then I can't see all the pictures so I have to scroll. Every time I scrolled it all disappeared and I had to start again. This went on for ten minutes. I then shut it all down, loosing my post, and came here via an alternative route. Is this going to be the norm for the cacha from now on does anyone know?

I get them occasionally too, I think it’s the amount of time to spent on the “write post” page though: I’ve had them with short posts that have taken a long time to get together for one reason or another, and not had them on long posts I’ve speeded through typing on a roll.
I don’t always get the pictures coming up: sometimes it’s just a panel of grey squares.

I have discovered that if you tick the “I’m not a robot” box and let it take you to the pics, you can then click the browser’s back button to get you back to your typed up post, reclick submit and it goes through without the captcha coming up again.

It looks like you're gonna need a bigger  boat  monitor.

Thank you Karamazov, I will try that.

Fnord - It's on my laptop so it's not small small. And I'm not sure that the whole thing wouldn't just be bigger, as in the pictures too so that I'd still need to scroll.

You have to click back, let it reload the “I’m not a robot” page (which doesn’t load properly second time on my phone), then click back again to return to your freshly typed and ready to submit post.

Hope it works via laptop :)

I have the same problem with my laptops.  The monitors at the office display all of the Captchas, and then some.

I'll try Karamazov's way, but if I can't get it to work for me, and the Captchas keeps coming up, I'll have a go with the new monitor I bought for typing my novel with, as it's bigger.

Thanks guys.

fluffs,

When you write a long or well-worded post and don't want to risk losing it, highlight and "copy" before you even try to submit. That way if Captcha happens and you lose the post you can always start again just hitting "paste". The Captcha scroll thing is very hard for me too. I have visual issues and double vision, and because the pictures are so close-up in the boxes I can never tell what they are even if I enlarge / Zoom my screen. Copy / paste has saved a lot of my posts.

Otherwise try kicking your computer really hard until all the pictures shatter. That might help too.

Captcha is getting triggered more often and it is taking longer to fight my way through lately.

I get the captcha thing come up if I have too many quotes in my post. It takes me to the pictures, but then when I've correctly selected the pictures with a car in or whatever the question asks, it takes me to another set of pictures, then another. And one time I used the back button and my post had disappeared, and I was just left with a blank box.

I need to remember to copy the post before submitting, but I always forget to do it.
