What if WrongPlanet had a special chat room for people who wanted to use webcams, for people who wanted to meet some people on WrongPlanet in person but don't want to travel crosscountry. It's just a thought.

That would make an interesting experiment, but I bet there would be alot of ackward silence in between monologues and, if a group chat was held, a LOT of interruptions.

And I would have to put pants on. And I use the library for this sort of thing. (heavy sarcasm related to poor dressing skills)

Good grief, how many actually sit at their computers with anything on? That could be a stretch to accomplish. Just teasing. :)

why? i always believe they're likely to have fewer hangups if they see nakedness early on. as long as they know when it's appropriate.

Because I'm self-conscious about all the stretchmarks and all. *laughs* Heh. It's not a pretty site by far.

Yeah, that would be kind of gross, you know, seeing a person's stretch marks and stuff. I would probably vomit and would have nightmares for a month.

I can't remember the last time I wore a shirt while browsing this site.

Well, they come with age and having children too. It's just a fact of life unless you have thousands of dollars for cosmetic surgery.

Actually, you don't make eye contact when you're using a webcam. It's almost impossible. You're either looking into the camera or looking at the face of the person you're talking to. And don't sweat awkward silences; relish them. In fact, ANNOUNCE them: "Here's an awkward silence! I haven't felt this Aspie since I alphabetized my sock drawer!" Have fun with it.

((Cool points for anyone who knows what comic strip character actually said he/she alphabetized his/her sock drawer. Though I don't even think they're Aspie, just a nerd.))
