So this thread has been goin' on for more than 48 hours and none of you have reported it to a mod?

Maybe we should toss all a y'all out.

Just wanted to make a small comment on this, and wondering if there was actually a good reason to block that thread?

You asked if none reported to a mod, maybe they did, and maybe other mods didn't see the need to do it, except for a sockpuppet account, but that was it.

I want to point out, that according for what I read there, the OP who did the thread was someone who actually likes her, and he very likely did it with good intention, of course there are some people who don't like her, but there are a good number who actually do, and they were there, I saw some positives posts about her in there, not just negative ones.

Well, I'd like to know a GOOD reason why that was blocked though, because I fail to see one for that actually.

Hmm...seems Quatermass posted in it,
without doing anything. I always took
when another mod didn't see a problem
as a sign that there should be some
discussion, before dealing with it.

Then again, MrMark plays by special
rules.

Not sure what I think of the thread itself.
Personally, I've stated (and checked again)
that I don't see the big deal about the quantity
of threads that she's putting up. It's not silencing
anyone. Much more than she does would be a
real problem. And the thread does seem filled with
attacks on her.

All the same, this was how Alex indicated members
were to express their displeasure, through self policing
like this. Still, a SIGNIFICANT number of people seem
to have no problem with what she's doing, so it can't be
too grievous a crime. Plus, making light, rather than
complaining simply about the issue is a bit more worrisome.
Even if this WASN'T the OP's intention, whatever game was
spawned by it wasn't being played at all.

All that said, I see no real problem with the locking -
only with the continual appearance of how one mod
works. Something which has driven others from the
staff. But, who knows? He hints that Alex gave him
additional authority, something which hadn't been
confirmed or denied while I was there. So, perhaps
the real fault doesn't lie with MrMark?

I merely pointed out that Ana54 was not posting in the thread, which was probably the right thing to do for her. It was a subtle hint: you ain't getting a rise, so push off. I then ignored the thread.

I agree, I personally don't have any problem at all with Ana's posts and her threads, and I have to admit that when I first saw the title of that thread, I thought it was going to be all against her, but then it didn't seem that bad as I thought it would be.

I didn't see Quatermass there, I have to say I like the way he does things a lot better, because he does WARNINGS, while MrMark just made his post and then locking it right away, without anyone being able to reply to his post, wether they agreed with him or not, this might seem a little like abuse of power to some. But the thread is locked now and is not that bad though, but I am wondering why and if it was really a justified action.

I was actually hoping Ana54 would show herself there, but with a positive attitude, like thanking her friends for defending her or a similar thing, it doesn't seem she would feel offended by that thread, although I don't know her well, to say that for sure. It didn't seem that bad to me.

On the other hand, maybe it was my post that made the motivation to lock the thread, which it was misinterpreted because I don't dislike her.

I would actually have posted in it, but I was so busy! I read it all though. :) I'm surprised I wasn't even warned by a mod yet, let alone banned. On the contrary, I made a lot of new friends out of that thread, lol. Now I have 3 more PM buddies. :D

Yes Quatermass’ judgement is better than MrMark's IMO. He even puts up with me

Does anyone here have due cause to see 0_equals_true in pain?

As far as I'm concerned Ana posts in the correct forum, and makes discussions. Her behaviour on other forums is irrelevant to this. I'm sure she likes her ego being polished too, not that there is anything 'wrong' with that.

I did say due cause. If anyone doesn't have any, then I see no reason to subject you the various cruel and some unusual punishments in the Patrician's Palace dungeons.
