I think it would be helpful to show a person's gender in that box to the left of there post that features their name, age and number of posts. I often find myself going to read their profile when I'm reading threads to see if the person is male or female. It helps in understanding what your reading.

That might be an option after the site software is upgraded. Not sure when that is happening yet.

Dunno.....sometimes I'm happier not knowing if I'm talking with a boy or a girl. I gather males and females usually treat each other differently, but I like to be even handed unless I'm looking for a mate.

Yeh I wish I hadn't called myself Joe90 because it does look more like a masculine name - even though it is just used as a nickname. People have often thought I was a male, and posted me things like ''how do you feel about sexy girls?'' or, ''maybe teenage girls look at you because they fancy you'', or anything cringing like that.

Many people assume I am a female from my username. I don't understand that one.
