So you agree Mr Mark was wrong. He could have easily remedied his action as soon as this thread was set up, but instead he has chosen to allow this carry on for well over 200 posts.

To be fair, he actually said he would unlock the thread if more demands were made about doing it, but it would be kinda pointless in my opinion to do so now, so I think it is better for the thread to remain as it is.

There was another stipulation,
we had to remain ON TOPIC.
We talk about what he wants,
or not at all.

As to remaining, I still think
a link in that thread might do
some good, even at this late hour.

Then why are you here? Presumably you can do that at I2, but this site clearly states from the beginning that there are rules and that it is meant for a variety of people, including children. There's no false advertising about it being a free for all; there are other sites that are like that though. If you don't like how this is run (just in general), why do you continue to hang around?

This issue has NOTHING to do with
the rules in the TOS. The thread and
the discussion were all well above the
board. And honestly, this site only teeters
when the mods overreach with their powers
Otherwise, 'tis quite good - or was until many
were driven away by such action not so long
ago; we're still trying to rebuild from that loss,
IMO.

And before that, it was moderated far more than this. The upkeep of the rules slackened off, but originally, almost all of the rules were enforced. This site seems to go through cycles.

The reduction in enforcement
came directly from Alex. He's
learned that mods tend to over
enforce the rules, and has been
reigning in their power steadily,
over time. One of the real problems
has been exactly with selective enforcement,
where friends were favored.

This is all prior to my time, but those
that were on those previous staffs are
mainly banned - a goodly number at
I2. If you have FF, you can turn off
images from that site, and discuss directly.
Alternatively, you could PM Callaway here
to put you into contact with some of them
at other sites. She's more aware of where
the former admins have memberships than I
am.

Is it true MrMark is the senior mod and has authority over all other mods? I doubt Alex gave him leave to run WP anyway he sees fit. Alex has stated publicly that he has had a problem with MrMark's actions in the past. What is this some kind of power grab?

I'm hoping it's just another one of his
delusional states.

This would have all been conducted
secretly then, and quite likely to little
effect. I think I'm better used out here.

I believe that we have been. :P

Do you truly, truly believe this?

I've only ever found that when one responds to insults with insults, the situation escalates further. That sort of non-constructive jousting might foster camaraderie on certain other sites, but this is not the time or the place for it. I don't think anybody should be waiting around for "the other guy" to shape up as a condition for turning the civility back on.

How many times have you said that about something he has said? And yet he remains.

Besides, how is homophobic an insult? Is it an assumption? Sure. Insult? Not really.

It is hard to see you as not just itching for any little reason to ban calandale.

That's not a defense of everything he has said.

I've been in touch with Alex today. He's well aware of my actions. We'll see what happens.

So you're waiting for him to tell you who you can and can't ban. That's the only conclusion I can make, since this latest post didn't really say much of anything.

Right, somebody has to take the first step. This "discussion" doesn't seem like it has really changed in tone since it started.

I doubt it. QM doesn't strike me as the type that taps his foot in a public bathroom, unless he has a stim.

I admit I am a little. But only to the degree that if someone actually came on to me, I would freak. I have no objection against homosexuality itself.
