why aren't threads like the above one removed? why are they allowed to sit around causing more trouble and anger? when obviously they are there to cause trouble. It isn't child friendly either, and I know children come on here.

Yeah, can someone please delete it? I am not a "fat insert filthy word here" and I'd appreciate it if this guy was taken care of.

I'm also surprised some words pass the word filter.

Look. I thought this place was about aspergers support. I come here to talk with aspies, and get support. I will NOT be insulted. and I really think that the moment someone comes on and starts making offensive posts, they should be deleted. They should not be allowed to sit around, and generate more problems.

Edit:Ah. Voila. it is done.

I don't know if this idea has been suggested or not and if it is feasible, but another poster expressed concern recently that for kids to get to the kids' crater, they have to go past the adult forum and are tempted to peek in and could cop a real eyeful.

The way the forum is arranged, kids' crater is in the age section, but would it be more appropriate to put it higher up in one of the other sections, such as coping with Aspergers or even in the general section?

It wouldn't stop all peeping but would make it less likely as far as I'm concerned. I'd also like to see a button we can press if we see a thread with offensive remarks on it.

Yeah. i think the kids section should be higher up, and a report offensivepost button would be useful too.

Please tell Alex this. Any actual technical issues, bugs, or changing the format of the BBS, ask Alex. 'Nuff said.

This is the wrongplanet.net discussion section. as the developer of Wrongplanet.net i would assume that he reads it.

Make it certain by PMing him.

A former user using a sockpuppet account I suppose.

With as problematic as the location of the kids section could be, no harm in telling him in multiple ways to make sure he sees it.

I'm glad that this came up as a potential issue (section placement), I never really thought about how that could cause problems until it was brought up. Now it seems pretty clear that it could really present an issue.

With regard to the positioning of "Kids' Crater", I must say I agree that it is in an unfortunate location. The way the categories stand, it is logical, but bad. It might well get more use if it was up the top, whether it "fits" there or not.

There might be a way to add a "report this post" button, however, it probably involves quite some work, whereas opening a thread like this, or PMing a mod, seems to work well enough.

As it stands, the age-based section could be divided into two smaller sections. Yes, more clutter, but easier to group stuff. The adult and women's discussion areas could go into one, whereas the adolescent, kid, and in-depth life ones could go into another.

Of course this only brings up other potential problems, for instance that there's not really an age specification set to the women's section, so leaving it next to the adult section would not really remedy anything for the younger female members.

Another possible solution is putting the adult thread right at the bottom of the age related section and the kids' crater at the top. Quatermass, I'm not sure if Alex likes me very much so that's why I haven't PM'ed him with my idea.
