pm sitting in outbox

I replied to a pm that someone sent to me and it's sitting in my outbox. Shouldn't it be in my sent box? I sent it a few hours ago.

The person may not have read it yet. It could take days. It will take until they next look at their inbox.

Oh, I see. Thanks!

I'm used to email programs where sent items go into the sent box. But this is neat because you actually have some idea of if/when it was read.

If you delete a PM while it's in your Outbox (before they read it), will they still be able to read it or will it be deleted from their Inbox?

So long as it is deleted before they click on it, I'm pretty sure that it will be removed from their inbox.
