i have been looking where i earlier mentioned something about my status,
then just having been promoted from emu egg to butterfly;

but wrongplanet - wronggeneration mate - i just not happy in these modern
computerized circumstanzas & can still not really finding my way in your part of the forest:
i cannot SEE where i am

anyway, this is just a PM (pro memoria) to me, to remind me, when i find more time,
complain most wingingpommishsly about meanwhile having been promoted to tufted titmouse, without even getting a bloody chance to first complain about having been interpromoted form butterfly to hummingbird

i need demotion asap; this is going much too fast;
i'll be anything you want, baby, but you need to cut me some slack

HOWEVER
promise you one thing: do not make me a veteran unless you want me gone

promise to register a complaint at every change of -motion

doitagain doitagain said the mASSochist

Emu's Egg to Phoenix - and beyond?

As your post count climbs, your "Rank" goes up through an avian progression, of sorts. You'll pick it up. The changes require progressively longer jumps, and you'll stay a Phoenix from your five hundredth post until your thousandth, by which time you'll have totally forgotten about all this.

However, at some point (post 1200 or so) you'll remember that you've been waiting to make your own stamp, and you'll discover that it's not obvious how to do it.

Here is a list of the ranks,
and about when you achieve
them:

I started making this list a short time after I joined. I'm not sure if it's completely accurate, but it should be close, within a few posts.

Emu Egg 0-8
Butterfly 9-17
Hummingbird 18-24
Tufted Titmouse 25-49
Yellow-bellied Woodpecker 50-74
Blue Jay 75-99
Raven 100-124
Snowy Owl 125-174
Pileated Woodpecker 175-199
Sea Gull 200-249
Tucan 250-299
Dienonychus 300-399
Velociraptor 400-499
Phoenix 500-999
Custom Title 1000+

Lo and behold, there's a new line for "Custom Rank" (max 50 characters) - make it what you will.

Now, you may not have this problem, but personally, I've been going in for long signatures.
On this form, the signature is limited to 150 characters, whereas the other form lets you put in 255. When uploading a new avatar or changing rank, this always bugs me. I have to chop my sig out, update avatar/rank, go back the the other form and change my sig back to what I want.

Oh. And my browser always auto-completes ONE of the two password fields on the initial form, which I often forget about, so it says they don't match and I have to scrub the one it auto-completed.

look, i'm just wing/e/ing as a matter of princi/pal

one way in the future to get rid of me, will be any veteranship (phoenix i can do, you'd be surprised) but a vet, no way (neither indeed do i heal animals)

yes i want to be demoted, i haven't even been given time to get used to being butterfly, do i need to explain any assie that i don't seem to cope well with all this change ???????????????????

so prepare for verbal war, i can get very silly in principle, it actually DID get me eight weeks at the expense of her majesty Q Juliana, for refusing to be drafted

should have been two years, i was prepared for that; but i came up with a good argument and they found remarkable occasion the disqualify me for military service
(be warned: my argument was non-pacifist)

that was then, now i want to dream a slow dream, of an egg slowly cracking and releasing oops off course, a butterfly which immediately seem to flap into a hummingbird before crashing
i may be a big girl's blouse at times, i'm not tufted

BTW many fanks notaparakeet (norwegian blue?), that is excellent info!! !!
